feediary 1.2 - Keyboard shortcuts, Share lists, Read offline
🚀 A new version of feediary is out. The main new features are keyboard shortcuts, share feeds of a list (PRO feature) and improved offline support.
Many user asked us if we support keyboard shortcuts. We can finally say yes to this question, as we added shortcuts in this release.
By using the "?" key you can see all available keyboard shortcuts. There are shortcuts to navigate the page, add a new feed, start a search (PRO feature), move to next/previous item, favorite/read later/move to trash the active items and more.
This is the first version of keyboard shortcuts and we will add more shortcuts in the future.
Share your lists
It was already possible to share a list of all feeds since the first release of feediary. If you are a PRO user you can now also share one of your defined lists with your friends. To do so open one of your lists and you will see a new link "Share your list" near the top.
After clicking there, you will see how the feed list will look like when you share it, as well as the information if it is already public (it is private by default and can be made public in the settings) and the share URL.
Read while offline
If you browser supports offline handling, we now save the latest 50 items, as well as all favorited and Read Later items, so you can still read them even if you are offline.
- We now show a title for Favicons
- On mobile, we don't hide options in a menu anymore in the item overlay to make it easier to access them
- Made it easier to add feeds from a share site
- Various design improvements
- Improved overall performance
The next release will be all about filters for PRO users. We want to make this a really good feature and will therefore spend most of our time on developing it in the next weeks.
